Kidnapped Girl Returned
A six year old girl was reunited with her father and grandmother two years after her mother removed her from her home in Mexico in violation of a court order.



Children Find a Real Home
Since 2004, sixty-nine children were adopted by relative caregivers through Kilpatrick Stockton’s Grandparent Adoption Program.



Response to Hurricane Katrina
Over 110 evacuees received legal advice from Kilpatrick Stockton and BellSouth attorneys who staffed the Neighbors Helping Neighbors job fair sponsored by the United Way and the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.



Real Estate Woes
A low-income family now lives in a new, habitable home which was the settlement of a suit against sellers and inspectors who conspired to sell them an environmentally dangerous home.



Wills on Wheels
Since 2004, sixty-six low income senior citizens protected their futures through the Wills on Wheels program in Charlotte, NC.



Security Deposits
In 2005, over $14,000 was collected from landlords who unlawfully withheld security deposits from low-income clients who moved from their premises.



Domestic Violence
A client escaped the grip of domestic violence when KS attorneys obtained a temporary protective order against her abuser. This client, along with 20 more clients, were represented through Kilpatrick Stockton’s domestic violence program.



Nonprofit Assistance
A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting a transitional foster home for medically-fragile children was able to focus on their most important mission – children, while Kilpatrick Stockton attorneys focused on their legal needs.



Death Row Inmate Moved Off Death Row

A client on death row for 17 years, has had his sentence commuted to life in prison as a result of a Kilpatrick Stockton lawyer's advocacy. Our lawyer requested testing by the State to determine the client's mental capacity, which was extremely low and which resulted in the client's removal from death row. The inmate will likely be released in 2006, having served the new sentence.
